This bitterness will grow like a weed. It stays within us, reminding us of past pain, of our own sorrow, and eventually blooms into anger. When this happens, that anger will slowly become etched into our faces and that pain will define us to even strangers passing by.
The ability to forgive someone, even when they do not deserve it, is the action of setting ourselves free. When we forgive there is no longer anger, pain and resentment controlling our thoughts and feelings. And, that anger, bitterness and pain will not be etched into our faces.
So, ladies and gentlemen, stay beautiful from the inside out. Offer forgiveness if you have been denying it, and free yourselves.
